She made her debut using the stage name, Hema Malini, and decided to request a name change. Her second film Naan Avanillai 2 did well in the Box Office. Her third film Guru Sishyan was with Sathyaraj and Sundar C. in the lead. She is considered as potential replacement for the aging Namitha. Her forthcoming film is Vidiyal with Sarathkumar and Sneha in the lead.
