Marathi film 'Fandry' which won two awards at the 61st National Film Awards, has found support from Hollywood stalwarts.

Speaking from the US, Nagraj Manjule, the director of the film, said, "Many Hollywood actors watched the film and liked it. A few members of the Oscar jury were also present and they too appreciated the film." Speaking on his interactions with these Hollywood celebs, he said, "One of the producers of 'Motorcycle Diaries' Karen Tenkhoff told me that she liked the film. Its good to see your work getting recognised everywhere."

'Fandry' won two awards at the 61st National Film Awards: best film by a debutant director - Nagraj Manjule and best child actor - Somnath Awghade.
