Umesh says, "Reading Charlie Chaplin's biography and watching his works have motivated me a lot. It made me realize that I still have so much to do and if difficulties cross my path, I should just take it easy and not kill myself brooding over them. It relieved me completely of any depression that I had."
Umesh's play 'Nava Gadi Nava Rajya' with actor-wife Priya Bapat, which talks about fragile nature of today's marriages, is one of the most loved plays of the present times.
