Madhuri Dixit is an Indian film actor who appears in bollywood films. She is also known as the dancing diva of bollywood. She continues to rule million of hearts with her lovely smile and gorgeous looks. The queen of Indian cinema is an iconic figure whom the young actresses follow religiously. She made her film debut in Abodh (1984) but got recognition with the movie Tezaab (1988). She went on to establish herself as one of Hindi cinema's leading actresses, acknowledged for her performances, her beauty, and her accomplished dancing.

Biography Madhuri Dixit was born on 15 May 1967 in a Marathi Brahmin family to Shankar and Snehlata Dixit. She attended Divine Child High School and later studied in Mumbai University. She is an accomplished Kathak dancer which also helped her to give sterling dancing performances in her films like 'Tezaab', 'Dil', 'Dil Toh Pagal Hai' and several other hits. She wanted to become a Micro-biologist, and also did study in that course from Parle College, in Vile Parle (East), Bombay. She first appeared on silver screen in 1984 with two releases 'Abodh' and 'Swati', and from then continued to act in approximately 66 movies. She has delivered hits like Tezaab, Ram Lakhan, Dil, 100 days, Khalnayak, Hum Apke Hain Koun, Dil to Pagal Hai, Devdas and many more. She has also lent her voice as a playback singer in 'Devdas' and 'Wajood'. She has won approximately 12 awards from Filmare, Star Screen and Zee for her performances in some of her movies. She has became the actress of the millennium in 2000. In Guinness Book of Records Millennium versions she is reported as the highest paid Indian actress. She became the Zeenews Best actress ever in 2003. She won the BBC poll of best actress ever. She became the Rediff best actress ever. Career Dixit made her acting debut in Rajshri Productions movie Abodh in 1984 opposite the Bengali actor, Tapas Paul. The film failed but Madhuri earned positive reviews from critics. In 1986, she starred in two movies, Swati and Manav Hatya but both films flopped at the box office. She had three releases in 1987 with Mohre, Hifazat and Uttar Dakshin but her films continued to flop at the box office. She finally attained stardom after a series of consecutive flops when she grabbed the female lead role of Mohini in N. Chandra's blockbuster Tezaab opposite Anil Kapoor. The film went on to become that year's highest grossing movie and then followed the series of superhit movies like Beta, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Dil, Dil to Pagal Hai, Devdas and many more. She has been the muse for the famous Indian painter M.F. Husain. Marriage/Husband The Dhak Dhak girl of bollywood, Madhuri Dixit has broke millions of hearts when she got married to Dr. Sriram Madhav Nene, a Cardiovascular Surgeon on 17 October 1999. Sriram Madhav Nene was a surgeon in Denver, Colorado, U.S.A. but now he alongwith Madhuri Dixit and two kids has shifted to Mumbai. Children Madhuri Dixit and Dr. Sriram Madhav Nene has two children Arin Dixit(age:10 years) born on March 2003 and Raayan Dixit(age:8 years) born on March 2005.
