Salman
Khan has started to work on his new movie with film-maker Sooraj Barjatya. A
source close to the actor reveals that he gave the mahurat shot at a studio on
the outskirts of Mumbai on June 22.
"He took nearly the entire day to give the perfect mahurat shot for the movie at Karjat," says the source.
Back
in 1989, Salman had got his big break in Barjatya’s film, Maine Pyar Kiya. The
duo last worked together in the multi-starrer Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999).
Apparently, since the actor shares a special bond with the film-maker and his
family, he didn’t want to report late on the sets.
"Salman stayed at his Panvel bungalow the previous night so that he was
not late for the shoot," says the source.
Sonam Kapoor, who
has been paired opposite Salman in the film, was not present for the mahurat
shot but will join the team soon.
The source adds, "She is busy shooting
for another film and will join Salman once the full-fledged schedule
begins."
